Toddler Talk Thursday–Write a Letter to Your Toddler

Toddler Talk Thursdays!

Week 26

So I thought I’d do something new starting this week!  Some great blogs host “Toddler Talk Thursdays” and it seemed like a great way to get some discussion on the blog!  Let me know what you think!

Welcome to week 25 of Toddler Talk Thursday! Where Family and Life in Las Vegas, Crazy about my Baybah, and My Life as a Sippy Cup Mom Talk all things Toddler!

Toddler Talk Thursday was created as a place for moms and dads of toddlers to come together over a weekly topic and share ideas, go-to toys, or products. It is a great way to meet other bloggers of toddlers. Each week the topic will be different; we invite you to link up, share your weekly Toddler Talk!!

Each week the hosts will travel around to each blog that links up, and pick an idea, story, or picture they think was a great example of that weeks topic. In order to qualify for this you need to blog about this week’s topic, and follow the hosts. Comments letting us know you are participating are always great too. If we choose your blog, we will link back to your post the following week.

Our highlighted blog this week is:

Kelli Belli Jelli – who can resist that mad face!! Too cute.

This week’s Topic: Write a Letter To Your Toddler

Dear SAP,

You are my little blessing!  Every day I see you and I just want to sit there and hold you and cuddle you, but you want to run and play and have fun!  You are the most lively of all toddlers I know, always exploring and causing mischief, yet so ever very inventive in what you come up with to do with your toys and what you deem to become toys (that I would call garbage) that I cannot help but wonder what is going on in that little head of yours!

You are turning two in just over a week, and I cannot believe how quick the years have gone by…did I miss it?  It was so fast!  You have grown so much and each day doing something new, it won’t be long now that you will learn to drink from a real cup and you will be interested in using the potty like a big girl, and that will be a day I look forward to yet will be so sad to see!  I wish you could be my little girl forever!

Though I love you so much, there are a few requests I would like to make, if you could possible consider them for your dear Mommy and Daddy.  First, please do not twist you hair around your fingers so much it creates knots…they are ever so hard to get out and I hate having to clip your curly cute hair!  Also, some cuddle time would be much appreciated!  Do you ever get tired or settle down?!  You’re always on the go, relax baby!   Cuddle with mommy!  Third, I love how helpful you are throwing away garbage you find on the floor, but please ask mommy/daddy first, not everything on the floor is garbage!  You may lose some toys otherwise little girl!  Garbage does not come back!  Last, the dryerballs live in the dryer…not hidden around the house.  Please return them to their home so they can get a good night’s sleep with the laundry!  🙂

There have been many changes in the past couple months with switching daycares and moving to a big-girl bed, and you  have taken them all in stride, surprising everyone each and every time!  I hope this coming year and it’s many changes you find equally as easy to take in and forgive Mommy for not always having time away from her courses and work to do fun things with you.  Enjoy the time with Daddy … just don’t become too much a Daddy’s girl!

Love you little girl!

I love your letter! I wrote one to my LO on my first Mother’s Day. Our babies are going to love reading these little pieces of their history when they’re older!

    • I hope she likes it when she’s older! I imagine she’ll be mortified at the amount of pictures I have of her in her diapers though Lol! ~SAPsMaMa
