Toddler Talk Thursday: Eco-Friendly Toddlers!

Crazy About My Baybah

Welcome to Week 36 of Toddler Talk Thursday! Where Family and Life in Las Vegas, Crazy about my Baybah, and My Life as a Sippy Cup Mom talk all things TODDLER!!
Toddler Talk Thursday was created as a place for moms and dads of toddlers to come together over a weekly topic and share ideas, go-to toys, or products. It is a great way to meet other bloggers of toddlers. Each week the topic will be different; we invite you to link up, share your weekly Toddler Talk!!

Comments letting us know you are participating are always great too. If we choose your blog, we will link back to your post the following week.

Our highlighted blog this week is:

This week’s topic is :

How are you helping to raise an eco-friendly toddler?

For one, we cloth diaper of course!   We also use family cloth so we don’t use very much toilet paper at all.  We use cloth napkins with all of our meals, and wash with biodegradable, natural detergents!

SAP loves her fluffy diapers!  This is a Bumble Dipe from BumbleDoo!

We do not buy plastic bottled beverages, but instead use stainless steel reusable bottles for all of our beverages on the go!

Though we have several brands of stainless steal containers, SAP prefers her Klean Kanteens!

SAP’s toys are eco-friendly and teach her eco-friendly living:
Nursing dolls with cloth diapers and wipes instead of bottle fed dolls with disposable diapers, hybrid cars and recycling trucks instead of race cars and garbage trucks!
SAP playing with her Eco Town we got from My Baby’s Green store!  It features hybrid vehicles, LED lights, recycling bins, solar panels, windmill, green roof, bikes, electric scooters, and more!!

I’m hoping she grows up thinking this is the way everyone should live: sustainably, not wasteful.

We purchase or us ourselves up-cycle or recycle products for giving gifts or making things we need!  SAP’s wool diaper covers and outfits are all up-cycled, as well as her headbands and some of her toys, such as her Manely Recycled Stick Pony!
SAP and SAPsDaDa playing with her Manely Recycled stick “pony”….actually a dragon!  They have a lot of fun with that pony!
There are so many more ways we try to teach SAP to be eco-friendly, we try to make it our daily lifestyle so that sustainable values come naturally to her as she grows up, and I look forward to the many projects we will do in the future with her and ways we will teach her more wonderful things!
