Summer Activities Discussion!

It’s almost time for summer activities to start if they haven’t already!

So what do you have planned for your children this summer to keep them busy and active?

Since we just moved to the area I’m searching the internet tonight for what awesome programs are in the area!  So far SAP is signed up for a Todder’s group class where they do art, activities and fun together starting mid July for about 4 weeks.  She should like that!  I”m looking into swim lessons but OMG are they expensive!

Is it just me or is there not much out there for 2 year olds to do?  Seems all the cool classes or fun activities are set up for 3+ or 4+ children!  And they’re often free!  I’m so for free stuff to do as a family!

So what am I doing this summer?  Well I’m thinking very seriously about getting this deal on Groupon for a personal fitness center (Orange Shoe Fitness Center) that is just 3 minutes from our apartment!  The deal is $30 for 1 month of unlimited Boot Camp in the fitness studio (3 locations in the area and I can go to all or any!).  That’s $70 less than the usual price and although I looked pretty good last summer (thanks breastfeeding!!) I”ve got me a tummy this summer and I want it to go away in the next few months!  Anyone else challenging themselves to get in shape this summer?  I’m thinking a jogging buddy would be fun too!

I can’t wait to hear what you’re all up to this summer!

  1. I am trying to get in shape this summer too! I really want to finish losing my baby weight. I am trying to get up and walk about a mile in the mornings. Hope you and SAP have fun!
    Have a great day!

Yep, start small, and build up! With the way SAP rounds around she keeps us active but it’s not enough! 🙂

  2. This summer I am doing the C25K program. I’ve finished week one!! And I plan on running a 5K in September. My daughter (10 months old) and I signed up for the reading program at the library.
