This Week’s Topic: Vacationing With A Toddler
I have no vacations for the family planned this summer due to my big trip to BlogHer11 in San Diego (yay!!), but we do travel alot and sometimes for extended periods of time. And here is what we have come up with!
I purchased this over a year ago when it was on sale ( I have have older version of this donut) and love it! not only is it super comfortable but is is great for going to visit grandparents, on the road traveling, and especially camping! When she was learning to sleep in a toddler bed this was a transitional tool to help her learn to not roll so much, since it is contoured. I can’t wait for them to come out with a big kid woombie donut! SAP fits on hers still but it’s getting small.
This bag is sooo useful. Once SAP got to toddler age and needed less diapers, bottles, etc. this was perfect. A pocket for clean dipes, a pocket for dirty ones, and some pockets in front for snackies, a toy, boogie wipes, sunscreen or any other essential. Perfect for attaching to the ERGO carrier and one less thing to carry! This made it so we could change her anytime, anywhere, no matter what! no needing extra hands and holding things down it was all in one bag and it easily folds open and closed!
One big tip I would recommend for traveling with a toddler. If they have a lovie, make sure to bring it, and bring whatever you need to not LOSE it! It can ruin the whole trip!
Also, does your toddler need a special story to go to sleep, or milk before bed, or anything like that? Plan ahead and keep extras in your emergency bag if it is something very important like this to your little one. My cousins always have a cup of milk before bed, when they were on vacation and they had no milk accessible to them they would not go to sleep, daddy had to run to the nearest gas station. It’s these little things you can easily forget but are very important to your little one, so make sure to remember these “essentials”!
Please – Before you Link up – This is NOT A BLOG HOP!! IT IS A MEME FOR PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS OF TODDLERS. If you aren’t going to post specific to this weeks topic, then don’t link up.
My idea for a topic: What does your toddler do with BUGS?! How did they react to going outside this summer and seeing all the bugs!
