Somehow it happens with every kid, from the moment they’re born…they lose stuff! Where did that pacifier go? Wait a minute, which one is mine? And the inevitable “Hun, I picked up the daughter from daycare today and she had on another kids shoes!”.
So instead of sighing in annoyance and searching for the missing items (which sometimes never get found), have them returned back to you or never lost in the first place with some name labels! That’s the idea behind Loveable Labels and their many different styles, shapes, colors and designs of labels that catch attention and say “Hey! I belong to ____!”.
Loveable Labels Back To School Pack
Schools seem to be the one area that needs the most attention when it comes to labeling, with so many little gadgets and each kid required the same school supplies it is no wonder things get mixed up! This is why Loveable Labels created a Back to School label pack just for this occasion, geared towards the needs of your child in a learning environment!
The Back To School Pack includes:
•15 Regular Sticker Labels
•80 Slimline Sticker Labels
•48 Press n’Stick Clothing DOTS
•12 Shoe Labels
•2 Mini-Metal Tags (two 4” silver ball chains incld)
•12 Square Labels
So SAP and I went on a labeling frenzy to test out these labels and see what each could be used for and on, and how well they worked. I loved their claims that the labels will not wash off, can be washed in a dishwasher, wash machine, microwaved, etc., and still survive! Talk about getting your money’s worth!
The ones I was really curious about were the shoe labels. First, I wanted to see if they would work with all the different types of shoes SAP has, and second, I wanted to see if they would wear off at all, seeing as how they’re in an area of the shoe that gets worn down a lot. I was very surprised! The shoe labels worked not just for SAP’s regular tennis shoes, but also for her soft soled shoes and her Crocs! We shall see what time tells how well each holds it on but right now I’m very satisfied with the shoe labels. SAP always looks for the Froggy now whenever I tell her to get her shoes when we are at playgroups! Works great!
After having so much success with the shoe labels I went all out and took all their suggestions on what to use the labels for! I used some of the regular stickers as book labels of some of SAP’s fav books she likes to take with her when we travel, especially ones like The Lorax that other kids often have and she can mix her book up with, and they seemed to work perfectly for all types of books (board books, paperback, hardcover, etc.).
I thought of what else SAP often takes with her out of the house we often lose and of course went and labeled some of her stuffed animals that were her favorites! I found some trouble with a couple of these as the animals (like the TY beanie baby she has) has too small a care tag to label, and made me wish some labels even smaller than the Press n’ Stick Clothing Dots I was using had come with the package, but I know once you get so small it gets difficult to read! Maybe initials for smaller labels for things like this? The other issue I came up with was her clothing…not all of it had tags! We have a lot of handmade clothing for her. I think I’ll need some of the Loveable Label Iron on labels for those!
The Back To School pack also came with a Mini Metal Name Tag, which we will be using on SAP’s lunch bag! It attaches via a metal ball chain so I can easily change it to her back pack or diaper bag, or whatever we need it for, and SAP loves it because it has a cute Lady bug on it! It’s SAP approved!
I labeled her blankets and her clothes we take with us to playgroup and her sippy cups (which did keep their labels perfectly in the dish washer!). I ended up using each type of label except the square labels, but I figured I’ll find use for them, her name never changes so no way these will go to waste even if I don’t use them until next summer/school year!
All in all I loved the labels and I so wish I would have known about these 2 years ago when SAP was in daycare, this could have saved some stressful moments from happening where we played “and which lunch bag/shoes/coat/toy is yours SAP?” I do not miss those days! Labeling medicine in a daycare setting too would be a perfect use for those Slimline labels, or diaper ointments if you use them!
Booklet of labels in the Back To School Pack, Nature Lover Theme!
What I love about Loveable Labels Back To School Packs:
- Contains a variety of sized and shaped labels for all your needs
- You can (or your child!) pick a theme so each child can have their own labels that look different and have their name!
- Help you not lose and keep track of your stuff in busy environments like school, camp, daycare, etc.
- They didn’t wear down at all from rubbing (in the shoe labels) or washing in dish washer!
- Helps young children become more independent by having them recognize what belongs to them (such as their shoes)
- Helps get kids excited for school!!!
Suggestions For Improvement:
- I’d love a smaller label for small tags/items, possibly that used the child’s initials (like SAP!) instead of their name, so it would be a readable size. Sometimes the Slimline labels are too long and the mini clothing dots too fat still!
- Include some iron on labels in the Back To School packs for clothing items that may not have tags for stick-on labels
