Paper Culture Bamboo Art Review!
I have defined my self as a natural parent in a modern world…hence SAPsMaMa’s subtitle! Often when I am looking for a product to buy for a need or want I have I try to stick to this. I aim to stay natural and eco-friendly, but try to find products with flair, convenience, and trend.
This has proven to be quite difficult! Of course it makes me even more delighted when I do find a product I love that fits with my morals and gives off that modern feel to it. My most recent find was Paper Culture‘s newest product in their great line of eco-friendly paper products: their Bamboo Art!
Bamboo has become very popular in the “green” lifestyle world for its ability to grow fast without the need for pesticides or herbicides. Being put simply: it’s a very sustainable plant! More and more products and uses keep popping up using bamboo, everything from rayon from bamboo fabric for apparel to lightweight reusable to-go silverware! Paper Culture’s addition to this growing list is to use this lightweight, strong, durable and eco-friendly plant to create one-of-a-kind modern art.
For this review I received a mini sized (5.4in x 5.4 in) Simply Photo bamboo art of my choice…and this was quite a difficult choice to make! Paper Culture has super cute modern art you can chose from to accent your little one’s nursery, your bathroom, kitchen, or even your laundry room, whatever you want! Besides being able to choose from the designs they have available you could also upload a photo of your own to create into a one-of-a-kind work of art!
After going through thousands of photographs I have taken over the past few years and realizing that my absolute favorites were already printed and framed, I felt I needed to take a different angle with the bamboo art…after all, it was different from anything else, might as well stick with the theme! I chose an adorable “everyday” picture of SAP playing outside exploring nature when she was younger.
I was worried about the quality of the photograph taken and how it would look on the bamboo, but when I received it in the mail wrapped carefully it was just perfect! Though a larger piece of Bamboo Art would be a wonderful addition to our bedroom or dining room, this mini sized work of art was perfect for my current need: a little reminder of my beautiful daughter where I needed it most! That often is at my work desk or my sewing table, and this was just that right size to be precious and fit in that space.
My bamboo art keeping me company at my work desk! ….Don’t mind the clutter, it’s a work in progress!
I loved how great the detail came out, how light weight it was, and how durable it was! Since we move about once a year this is one photograph I will not worry about breaking during my move!
- Very unique. Each piece can be one of a kind!
- The look is modern and will fit with many decor in a variety of spaces.
- Made sustainably with bamboo in a eco-friendly way
- The quality of the work is top notch and durable, will be a wonderful memory that can be in the family for a very long time
Suggestions for Improvement:
- Different shapes of bamboo art besides the square shape would make the piece of art more personalized and unique each time!
- A simple stand for use if we wish to have the bamboo art sitting on a desk as I enjoy it instead of hanging on a wall would be helpful
