I use only natural and toxin-free products in my household for many reasons, mainly to ensure our indoor environment is safe for my family (including our pets!). So of course my household cleaners are also natural and free of chemicals I feel are too unsafe for our family. It has become harder than you would think to find products that not only work for the cleaning needed in a household with a toddler and pets (not to mention the hubby!), but to find ones that are not “green-washed” and are trustworthy to my specifications. Multi-task cleaners are one thing but what about those stinky areas I just can’t seem to get clean without using bleach (which has so many things I oppose wrong with it)?
I was excited to try out Natural House‘s 3 newest products to help me with my dilemma! Their products Flushy, Trashy, and Sinky are natural house cleaning products that are not only toxin free, but really do give you the clean you need in the areas you really need it! The products enable probiotic cleaning agents to help them do their “dirty work”, made from biodegradable natural plant based ingredients they give you a commercial clean that will not harm your family (including pets). Think it can get better? Well guess what! The probiotic cleaners continue to do their cleaning until your next “treatment” a week later! For all of us busy mama’s out there I can think of nothing better, who has time to scrub toilets or trash cans with a toddler or infant to care for?!
The first product I tried was Flushy. This was the number one reason I was excited to try out Natural House products. We decided to go full-out potty training with SAP months ago and with that came her freedom to use the toilet whenever she wanted (whether in the toilet or dumping her potty into the toilet). Since she does this often without flushing or telling us when she does it, we unfortunately get an unpleasant dirty toilet bowl regularly, which we forget to clean as often as it needs to be. The result? A dirty toilet that has a ring that won’t go away!
So I put Flushy to the test! The first time I used it it fizzied up just as it said it would and I let it do so for 30 seconds (though it probably did not need that long). I liked how the cleaner was in easy to use biodegradable pouches we can just throw in the toilet bowl. Easy to use, quick, and less clean up! I scrubbed the bowl and flushed and I saw a noticeable difference, but the ring was still there. *sad face*
The next week I tried again! I started scrubbing as soon as I dropped the cleaner in the bowl and after flushing it was a very light ring! I know it’s still there but I had not seen this toilet this clean since we moved in this house, and with hubby being SAHD and me off working, the toilets got pretty bad. So I”m excited! With how very simple it is to clean these toilets now I see no excuses hubby can have against doing this once a week, and by the end of the month I am anticipating pretty white toilets! Thank you Natural House for a great non-toxic cleaner that is so simple and effective to use!
The second product I put to the test was Trashy. We have a step garbage can for our main trash and even though the liner can come out it still has an um-identifiable smell that lingers and the top hood that covers the garbage is always dirty no matter now often I get it clean. So whenever I took out the garbage on my way to work I just grabbed Trashy and sprayed the can and lid down, propping it open to let it air dry before SAPsDaDa got a moment to put in a garbage bag since he usually forgets half the time.
I could smell the cleaner right away working and my ideas of how to get baking soda deodorizers went out the window since Trashy seems to be keeping whatever the unidentifiable odor that had accumulated down! Though with proper maintenance such as taking out the trash before it touches the lid or washing down the can when It gets something on it would keep smells at bay what family has time to do that every week? Trashy has become my solution as a busy working mom to make sure my trash can smell is kept at bay whether trash is in it or not so company will not get an unpleasant whiff when they go to throw something out.
Sinky was the last product I tested out because I kept it for a special purpose. Since we rent an apartment we are not too worried about our drains (our landlord and maintenance staff are just wonderful at fixing anything!), but I do have some issues with smell at certain times. Whenever I clean out the fridge with leftovers that got pushed to the back and were moldy or wash my animal dishes (yes, with some animal feces on them), I always got a smelly food disposal and drain smell no matter if I rinsed vinegar down it afterward or not. So this week after washing animal dishes (separate from our food dishes) I used Sinky! I did not see any fizzy or foam action from the drain but I could smell the cleaner working when I turned on the food disposal and we had no smell issues as we had previously after cleaning such things down our drain! Though the package is a 30 day supply I think with my situation I will be keeping it around for times like these so we have no smell issues when I do my spring cleaning year round in our kitchen!
Overall I was very happy with the products. Not only are the safe, non-toxic, and biodegradable so will not harm the environment, but they work wonderfully in areas that I was lacking in my cleaning with natural cleaners! A plus is the size and convenience of the products. A 30 day supply is in easy to use packets or a small spray bottle, they take up so little room under my kitchen sink it’s great. I wish all the cleaning products I had were that compact and concentrated! If your current natural cleaners aren’t working in your household or you have a grimy greasy dirty job try Natural House, their probiotic cleaners have definitely shown me they will do the trick.

Meet Natural House
Natural House cleaning products are a true cleaning revolution!
Why is it a “revolution?” Because Natural House probiotic cleaning products brings you a revolutionary, new method of cleaning the most dirty areas of your home. Utilizing non-toxic, probiotic cleaning agents, Natural House products are strong enough for commercial clean-up, yet safe and gentle for all of the members of your Natural House.
So how exactly does probiotic household cleaners work?
- The surfaces in your house are like a garden. If you don’t seed with good plants, weeds will grow. You have the same choice with your household surfaces: sanitize for a moment with harsh chemicals leaving your surface open to recontamination or seed with probiotics to continuously weed out the bad micro-organisms.
- Traditional cleaners “clean” a surface for a moment in time; the second the rag is finished wiping the surface, that surface is almost instantly polluted once again with ambient dust, dirt, and micro-organisms.
- Natural House probiotics creates mini-ecosystem on a microbial level that produces enzymes which break down odors, dirt, fats, oil, grease, food scraps, waste and toilet paper products on a continuous basis between applications. This creates a natural, clean, balanced environment that is safe for even the most sensitive members of your natural house.
